Langhorne Resident

Leonard J. Jackson, age 83 of Langhorne died Tuesday, December 21, 2004 surrounded by his family at St. Mary Medical Center.

Born June 10, 1921 in Arm, Miss., Mr. Jackson was a long-time member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers and in this capacity had worked on many local building projects including Veterans Stadium, St. Mary Hospital and Oxford Valley Mall. He was a sports enthusiast and an avid reader. He would sometimes complete five books a week. A World War II veteran, Leonard served his country in the Navy from 1941-1945. It was during this service that he met his wife of 60 years.

Leonard is survived by his wife Josephine Jackson; his children, Kenneth Jackson of San Jose, Calif. and Darlyn Fisher of Langhorne, Pa.; grandchildren Charles Fisher, Geoffrey Fisher and Jonathan Fisher, all of Langhorne, Pa., Kelly Horan of Encinitas, Calif., William Jackson of San Diego, Calif., Leonard Jackson of Studio City, Calif.; and four great grandchildren.

Services were held at the James O. Bradley Funeral Home, Inc., Penndel, Pa.

The family wishes in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Leonard Jackson's name to Nottingham High School Library, 1055 Klockner Ave., Hamilton, N.J. 08619.
