George Wilbur "Bill" Arnold, was born October 10, 1907, near Gorin, Missouri, the son of Gus and Martha (Dye) Arnold. He passed away on March 21, 1998, at the Scotland County Care Center in Memphis, Missouri, after a long illness.
On August 7, 1931, he was married to Matalee Brookhart.
He graduated from the Gorin High School and attended the Gem City Business College in Quincy, Illinois. He worked for Kresge's in Evanston, Illinois and taught school at Round Grove, Illinois for one year. For several years he was a truck driver and was also a farmer.
Preceding him in death were his parents; and two daughters, Elinor and Patricia Grace.
Graveside services were held March 24, 1998, in the Etna Cemetery, Scotland County, Missouri. Memorials have been suggested to the Scotland County Care Center, Memphis, Missouri. Arrangements were handled by Gerth Funeral Service, from their Memphis, Missouri chapel.
