William (Bill) Collins was a fair man, and would give you the shirt off his back if he thought you needed it. He is our beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.

William lived a hard life but he had so many who loved and cared about him too. If you want to know what honesty and integrity look like, just look at a picture of William.

Full of love for his hummingbirds and for his fellow human beings, William expected alot from his family, and for the most part he got it.

He grew the most beautiful tomato's and the best flowers. He loved being out of doors and loved the sunrises and sunsets. A hard shell and very soft heart. He has a love for justice and the law. He attended law school for 2 years when he was young.

He met my grandmother: Julie "Emily" Mae Fannin-Collins-Bates, about 1932 in a church in Neches Texas. "Anderson County". They were married in 1934, until he departed this world in 1972. They had 7 children, four of whom have now passed on as well. The newest being my Aunt Billie Jo Collins-Wallace, in April of 2007.

My grandfather passed away when I was 10 years old, but I will never forget him. What I learned from him is emblazoned in my memory forever. He came in to this world in 1906, losing his mother only one week later. He never knew her. She was a gentle woman from England who came to America to teach school. These are things he did know of her and us who are younger as my family has tried to keep her memory alive.

Family is so very important and live is all too short. Tell those you love, that you love them, and write down everything they tell you about them and their past, so you can pass on their wisdom and memory. My grandfather was born on the 4th of July 1906. I will never forget him, not ever.

God Bless You Grandpa!

We Love You And Miss You!

Note: His Half Siblings Were:

Wylie R. "Rose" Collins
Henry Collins
Robert Lee Collins

His Father Was: William M. Collins

His Grandfather Was Capt. William J."Judson" Collins, of the Georgia 55th Dooly County Georgia Confederate Brigade.

My grandfather was born in Chattanooga Tn in 1906. We believe his mother's name is Sarah. I am searching the cemeteries now for her grave. She would have died July 11th, 1906, in Chattanooga Tn.

I love you grandpa. Thank you for everything you did for me and for loving my mom as much as you did. I think that saved her a lot of the time. I miss you and I hope to see you again one day. Take care of Louis and grandma. God Bless You Always.
