Owner of various saloons and mines in Arizona and California during the days of the "Old West". One notable property was the Cosmopolitan Saloon in Tombstone, Arizona Territory. Roderick was also present at the open of mining operations in the town of Contention, AT in March 1880. Col. Hafford was a witness to the events leading to the Gunfight at the OK Corral in Tombstone, AT. Was a member of the coroners inquest jury trial of the Earps.
