CARTER CEMETARY is on top of a pasture hill between Lick Run-Lyra and Turkey Foot rds., west of Edward Jones rd. The area is called Farrell's Hill, and there is no path or noted indications of the cemetary's location. One engraved stone remains. Two other flat rocks and the base of another smaller engrave stone are present. The inscription was copied Nov. 18, 1979 by Caryn R. Shoemaker, CGRS.
