Francis Marion Miller was born May 27, 1844, and died March 19th, 1904, aged 59 years, 9 months and 21 days. He was married to Angeline Curtis August 17th, 1868. To this union were born 11 children. His wife and one daughter have preceeded him. Five sons and five daughters survive him. His sons and one daughter, Mrs. Hosea Hill, a resident of this place, cared for him during his last illness. The other daughters; Mrs. J. E. Wilson of Kokomo, Ind., Mrs. G. H. Rowe of Milan, Mo., Mrs. John Ruckman of Indianapolis and Mrs. Charles Kingston of Spring Brook, N. D., were all present at the funeral excepting the latter.
Mr. Miller enlisted in the Civil War and served to the close, receiving an honorable discharge. He was a good, kind father, having tenderly cared for his children. His sickness was very brief, being only a little over a week.
The funeral services were held at the home of his son Oscar, Rev. Bernard officiating. Burial at Kettering Cemetery.
