Her full name was Phebe Adalade Farrington Edson. Her middle name was sometimes spelled in the more usual way -- Adelaide -- but "Adalade" reflects what is on the tombstone. Note also that Farrington is spelled as Farington (one R) on the tombstone.
The story that was passed down among Phebe Adalade's descendants was that both of her parents died when she was young in Central New York and that she traveled back and forth along the Erie Canal, living first with one older married sister and then with another. Her mother, Eve/Eva Clute Farrington, did indeed die when Phebe Adelaide was under the age of 5. Eve/Eva was a daughter of Isaac Clute), but Eve/Eva died before her father; as a result, Phebe Adalade and her siblings were mentioned in settlement of the grandfather's estate in 1831-1832. But Phebe Adalade's father, contrary to the story told later, had not died. He was Jacob Farrington (born abt 1795), and he was still alive and living in Walworth Co, WI, in the 1860 Federal Census. (One of Phebe Adalade's sisters, Eliza Ann Farrington Smith, was also living in Walworth Co, WI, in that year.) Burial places for Jacob Farrington and for Eve/Eva Clute Farrington are unknown, so we can't link Phebe Adalade or her siblings to their parents.
Find A Grave memorials exist for two of her siblings (Andrew Farrington and Wealtha/Wealthy Farrington Worden Van Dusen).
In addition to the three daughters linked below, Phebe Adalade was the mother of Carlos C. Edson (also known as "Carl") who was born July 16, 1850, probably in or near Syracuse, Onondaga Co, NY; he died May 9, 1923, in Indianapolis, Marion Co, IN, but his burial place is unknown, so he has no Find A Grave memorial.
