WOOTON -- At the Marion hospital, Marion, Indiana, April 30, 1921, Elsie D. Wooton, aged 68 years. She was born at Highland, Ohio, the daughter of James Achor, and was there united in marriage to J. E. Wright. She was converted under the ministry of Robert W. Douglas and at the age of thirty-five was recorded a minister. She was active in Christian work being instrumental in leading many to Christ. After the death of her husband, she want to Marion, and later was married to Isaac Wooton, of Fairmount, where they resided for some time. At Indianapolis, at Scott City, Kansas, and at Sugar City, Colorado, she had acceptable service and was instrumental in setting up a Friends Meeing of more than 20 families at Sugar City. Because of failing health they returned to Fairmount, and she was taken to Marion for special treatment. She was fully prepared for the change, being anxious to rest in "the sweet spirit land" of which she spoke so often. Interment was made, at Russiaville, by the side of her former husband.
