Wade A. Stubbs was born on June 4, 1948 to the late Paige and Dorless Stubbs. He attended and graduated from Central High School in 1966. After a short year at Northeastern State University, Wade enlisted into the United States Navy in 1968, where he served bravely as a radar man for 4 years during the Vietnam War. Upon his return, Wade attended Oklahoma State University and Northeastern State University where he acquired his degree in accounting, and then continued on to earn his CPA accreditation. An influential businessman, Wade prided himself on his honesty and integrity in all his endeavors within the Muskogee community. His commitment to his family, his friends, and his clients could be seen in all of the opportunities and connections in his life. Wade is survived by his loving wife Beth Stubbs and by his three daughters, Sarah Elizabeth (Stubbs) Stevens, Rachel Denise Stubbs, and Audra Lynn Stubbs. He is further survived by siblings, Samuel and Marsha Stubbs, Robert and Betty Stubbs, and Bruce and Lorie Stubbs, Vivian (Stubbs) Jardine and Sarah Stubbs, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. As his personal interests Wade had passion for classic American muscle cars, music from the 1940s and 1950s, and slapstick comedies. Often known for his one liner jokes he will be remembered by many with a smile on his face and a lighthearted laugh. Wade also had a passion for his faith, which he grew as a member of Southeast Baptist Church in Muskogee, OK. Wade's love for anything nostalgic will be his legacy has we all remember how his life impacted us. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, October 22, 2009 at Southeast Baptist Church with Rev. Monty Baggett officiating. Interment will follow in Ft. Gibson National Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Kameron Burnham, Matthew Burnham, James Taylor, Jeff Stevens, Neil Massey and Kyle Smith. Honorary pallbearers are members of Wade's Sunday School Class.
