BOUCHER, Isabel Catherine — Troy. It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Isabel, which occurred Sunday, November 20, 2011, in Strait Richmond Hospital, Evanston, following a courageous battle with cancer, which she accepted with her usual strength, spirit and faith. Isabel was born in Barberton Road, Inverness Co.; she was a daughter of the late John
'Black Jack' and Grace (Faulkner) MacIntyre. She was a member of St. Joseph Parish, Port Hawkesbury. Isabel was an avid Toronto Maple Leaf fan and flea-marketer, she enjoyed traveling and spent several winters in Florida where she and Billy met some wonderful new friends. Isabel had a passion for music and dancing. She leaves to mourn, her dance partner and loving
husband, Billy Boucher, who has been by her side, tenderly caring for her, during her illness. Isabel is also survived by her sons, Carl MacNeil
(Cathy), Barry MacNeil (Carol), both of Dartmouth; daughters, Bernadette MacNeil, Fort McMurray; Kathy (John) Bunyan, Troy; Barbara (Harvey) MacKinnon, Elizabeth (Brian) Johnston both of Port Hastings; Viola McLeod, Port Hawkesbury. Left to mourn also are stepchildren, Real Boucher (Lynn), Arichat; Jean Marc (Kim) Boucher, Calgary and Chantal Boucher (Joey), St.
Peter's. Isabel will be missed by her grandchildren, her great-grandchildren and her step grandchildren who adored their Grammy.
Isabel is survived, also, by her only sister, Kathleen (Donald) Gillis, Port Hawkesbury; her brothers, Irving (Irene) MacIntyre and Harold (Juliette) MacIntyre, both of Ontario. Isabel also leaves behind her friend, her special aunt, Jean MacMullin. Isabel has been predeceased by her first husband, Francis MacNeil; son, John Francis in infancy; brother, Jackie
MacIntyre; granddaughter, Carly Bunyan; nephew, Francis 'Sack' Gillis; cousin, Donnie MacMullin; stepmother, Kay (Campbell) MacIntyre and stepson,
Gary MacDonald. Visitation will take place on Wednesday, November 23, from 2-9 p.m., with Vigil Service at 2 p.m., both in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Port Hawkesbury. Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, November 24 at 10 a.m. in St. Joseph Parish, Port Hawkesbury with Father Andrew Boyd officiating; interment will follow in St. Margaret's Parish in West Bay Road. Memorial donations may be made to Strait Richmond Palliative Care Society. Words of comfort may be forwarded to the family at: www.haverstocks.com
