Coleman Rite Set Monday In Wichita
Funeral services were announced Friday for Womer Investment Co. real estate manager Ray Coleman and his wife, Maxine, who were killed in the Oct. 2 plane crash in the Colorado mountains that took the lives of 30 Wichita State University football players, staff members and fans.
Memorial services for the Colemans of 5302 E. Gilbert will be at 10 a. m. Monday in Culbertson Mortuary. Burial will be in Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
Coleman, 45, was born in West Frankfort, Ill. and moved here from Morrilton, Ark. in 1950. He was active in community and church affairs and was membership chairman of the University's Shocker Club. Mrs. Coleman, 43, was born in St. Joseph, Ark. and came to Wichita in 1944. After graduating from business school in Wichita, she was employed by Boeing Co. for 21 years.
Survivors include three Coleman brothers, Ed, Wichita, Lester, Pleasant Hill, Calif., and Frank, Mesa. Ariz. and three sisters, Mrs. Louise Herring, White Hall, Ark., Mrs. Willa Hall and Mrs. Ruth Richardson, both of Laurel, Md.
Survivors of Mrs. Coleman include her mother, Mrs. Dada White, Wichita and a sister, Mrs. Thelma Isham, Colorado Springs, Colo. Memorial established with Wichita State University Football '70 fund.
