Mrs. Herman Boever
Mrs. Herman (Lillian C.) Boever, 84, of Remsen, died Thursday (Feb. 17, (1983) at Floyd Valley Hospital in Le Mars after a brief illness.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in St. Mary's Catholic Church in Remsen. Rev. Paul Eisele will officiate. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.

The rosary will be recited Friday in the Fisch Funeral Home by the Christian Mothers and the Catholic Daughters of America at 3 p.m. and by the parish at 8 p.m.

Mrs. Boever, the former Lillian Niichel, was born July 26, 1898, at Ottawa, 111., to Peter and Margaret Stromberg Niichel. She moved to the Ashton area with her parents as a child where she was raised and educated.

She married Herman Boever Feb. 10, 1920, at Ashton. They lived and farmed at Granville until 1942 when they moved to Remsen and farmed until retiring and moving into Remsen in November of 1961. He died Sept. 25, 1965.

Mrs. Boever was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Christian.
Mothers, Catholic Daughters of America and the VFW Auxiliary.

Survivors are six sons, Maurice of West Coviria, Calif., Donald of Potosi, Wis., Francis "Pat''' of Le Mars, James of Davenport, Thomas of Dubuque and Boniface of Sioux City; six daughters, Mrs. Robert (Marjorie) Willcoxson of Sioux City, Mrs. Richard (June) Schiltz of Remsen, Mrs. Dean (Rebecca) Norris of Arcadia, Calif., Mrs. Earl (Mary Lee) Lange of Hazel Green, Wis., Mrs. William (Judith) Pover of Farley and Marlene "Molly" Boever of Remsen; 49 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; 3 grandchildren; a brother and five sisters.
