BROWN, DAVID G., 58, passed away Wednesday, June 11, 2012 at Jewish Hospital.
He was a 1974 Butler graduate, a member and worked for Teamsters Local 89, a former funeral director and embalmer for O. D. White & Sons Funeral Home, he was a Deputy Sheriff at the Jefferson County Sheriff's Department where he just celebrated his 20th year of working, he was an Air Force Veteran, member of the FOP and a faithful member of Gambler's Anonymous. David always had a smile on his face, loved everyone and never met a stranger.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Wesley Brown and Dorothy Simmones Brown.
He is survived by his daughter, Nicole Brown-Bennett (Kyle); and his son, Ryan Brown (Emily Huffman); his grandchildren, Kylie and Kameron; his former wife and friend, Laura Saylor; and his beloved dog and companion, Roush Del River City Brown A celebration of David's life will be held on Monday at noon at the O. D. White & Sons Funeral Home with interment at Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be Saturday 1-8 p.m. and Sunday 1-8 p.m. at the funeral Home.
