Emma Jane (Rogers) Wiebold was born near Mt. Erie, Illinois to Willard and Mattie Rogers on Aug 3, 1912, the eleventh of twelve children. About 1930 she moved to the Williamsburg, Iowa area. She married Irvin Lewis Wiebold on Dec 8, 1931 in Rock Island, IL. Together they farmed in the Williamsburg, IA area before moving to Williamsburg in 1965. Starting in 1967, they worked for the Williamsburg Elementary Schools as custodians for eight years.
The couple had five children - Dorothy, Helen, Lewis, Louise and Ron.
Emma enjoyed quilting, cooking, collecting dolls and spending time with her family. she was a member of St. timothy's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Williamsburg. She became a resident of the Colonial Manor in Amana in November 2000 and died on March 9, 2001.
