WESTBROOK - Mollie B. Hodsdon, 83, of Liza Harmon Drive, formerly of Standish, died Aug. 20, 2001, at her home. She was born in Brunswick, a daughter of Warren and Honora M. Johnston Morrill, attended local schools and graduated from Brunswick High School. Mrs. Hodsdon retried from Maine Medical Center in Portland in the late 1970s after working as a nurse's aide and a licensed practical nurse for more than 20 years. She was a Tupperware dealer, becoming a manager and earning three new cars for her sales efforts. Mrs. Hodsdon was a dog lover and handler, raising golden retrievers of her own and teaching dog obedience throughout the Northeast and Canada. She was a longtime member and past matron of the Pleasant River and Portland chapters of the Order of the Eastern Star. Her husband, Herbert Hodsdon, died in the late 1980s. Surviving are two sons, John A. Philbrook of Lakeland, Fla., and Thomas L. Philbrook of Dunnellon, Fla.; a daughter, B.J. White of Hollis; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. There will be no visiting hours. A memorial service ill be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Scarborough Free Baptist Church, 55 Mussey Road. The Rev. Phillip Gage will officiate. Arrangements by the Dolby & Dorr Funeral Chapel, Gorham.
