Born in North Carolina. Son of John and Patience Peacock. Married (1st) Margaret Elliott in 1788. Married (2nd) Anna (Joy) in 3-29-1800 who died a few months after arriving in Indiana. Married (3rd) Rachel (Wright) Hollingsworth, a widow, on 3-21-1821 at New Garden Monthly Meeting in Wayne County, Indiana. Said to have taken ill after walking several miles to church, and died at the home of a friend.

Children: 7 by first wife, 2 by second wife (Margaret and John Joy)

The Old Jericho Burying Ground is located on the land Abram Peacock settled, as his second wife was likely the first burial in it (1818).
