Joseph Rodriguez
Birth: 1932, USA
Death: Sep. 6, 1936
Harlem
New York County (Manhattan)
New York, USA

Joseph Rodriguez was a four year old child who was last seen playing outside of his aunt's Spanish Harlem residence on September 6, 1936. Several days later Joseph's aunt received a telegram that simply stated "...Joseph will be back on Wednesday. Doctor will not let me move him." The note, whether it was written in truth or was a "red herring," intended to suggest that Joseph had somehow been injured. However, Joseph never returned to his aunt's residence and was never seen again. The identity of the letter writer (who presumably was his abductor) was never determined. Joseph nor his body was ever found, and he was presumed to be deceased. His case is one of the oldest on the New YOrk City missing person's records.
