The death of Mrs. Mary A. Hammond took from our midst a woman of great nobility of character.  In personal appearance, she was graceful and beautiful, the sweet expression of her face was an index to her gentle and lovable individuality and she had always as a daily companion, the charity that thinketh no harm.  The highest tribute that could be paid her, was the great love and reverence she received from her step sons, who frequently said they loved her as their own mother.  She had been a constant member of the Methodist church since childhood and she has gone to receive the reward of the rightous and has doubtless heard the joyful tidings at the gates of paradise. Well done thou good and faithful servant enter thou into the joys of the Lord.
