Raised in Girard, Ohio, son of Jack Clark and Margaret (Monteith) McComb. Resident of Poland, Ohio, since 1954. Husband of Doris Jean Weigel. Brother of George McComb.
Owner of Carriage Farm Auto Sales in Coitsville. Volunteer fireman with the Poland FD. A lover of NASCAR, Uncle Dave raced stock cars in the 50s up and down the east coast. He also loved motorcycling, skiing and snow-mobiling.
Always a character, Dave's purchase of Carriage Farm took place after he took two horses as a trade-in on a car, and needed a farm to house them on. He renovated the old house and barn, decorated with antiques, put in a lake and moved his business there from nearby Youngstown.
