He was a member of First Presbyterian Church and Trinity Presbyterian Church (charter) in Orangeburg and Covenant Presbyterian Church (charter) in Brevard. He was also a U. S. Army Veteran of World War II and Korea.
Surviving are three sons, a daughter, seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren: Lawrence Leman Bunn and his son, Austin Davis, both of Columbia; Norman Wayne (Martha White) Bunn, his children, Laura Carolyn Bunn and David Emery Bunn, and her son, Collins Abbott White, all of Greenville; Kathryn Bunn Welch and her husband, Hubert Hoyt Welch Jr. of Lancaster, and their children, Hubert Hoyt Welch, III and his wife Amanda Cokins and their children, Hadley Anne and Miller Hoyt, all of Goose Creek and Sarah Anne Daley and her husband Shaun Thomas and their son, Carter Welch Thomas of Lancaster; Jeffrey Scott (Marla Chapman) Bunn and their son, Cameron Scott Bunn of Goose Creek.
