Mrs. Buhite was born May 11, 1894 in Big Run, the daughter of John and Sarah Anderson. Her marriage took place in 1912 at which time the couple settled in Sykesville.
She was a member of the Grace Methodist Church; president of the Friendship Class; secretary of the Rebekah Circle; Superintendent of the Grace Methodist Sunday School; secretary of the Sykesville Woman's Club; a president of that organization in 1936-37 and a member of the Dubois Girl Scout Council and board of directors.
Family survivors are her husband; two daughters, Mrs. David (Eileen) Smiley and Mrs. Raymond (Ethel Paterson, both of Bradford; two sons, Ralph, of Erie and Walter, of Kittanning; two sisters, Mrs. Merle Wolfgang, of Sykesville; and Mrs. Robert Hevner, of Windham, Ohio; a brother, James, of Sykesville, and nine grandchildren.
Friends are being received at the home until noon on Friday when the remains will be taken to the Grace Methodist Church where Rev. W.G. Connor will conduct the services. Interment will take place in the Lakelawn Memorial Park.
