Services for Mark Ogletree, 46, of Flint, (formerly of Canton), are scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church of Canton with the Rev. Lou Gary Thomas and the Rev. Donnie Barron officiating, under the direction of Eubank Funeral Home, Canton.
Burial will be in Haven of Memories, Canton.
He passed away Jan. 11, 2009, in Tyler.
Mr. Ogletree was born Oct. 25, 1962, in Grand Saline to Tony Bert Ogletree and Jaqueline Laverne Rose Ogletree.
Mark grew up in Canton and graduated from Canton High School. He earned his bachelor's degree from East Texas State University. He and Karen Spivey were married in 1985. They enjoyed living in Tyler for the past 18 years. Mark has worked in sales for Tyler Building Systems for the past 16 years. Mark was recognized by all to be an accomplished golfer. He was a member of the MGA at Oak Hurst Country Club and past member of MGA at Cascades Country Club.
Mark was preceded in death by his mother, Jaqueline Laverne Rose.
Surviving are: Wife of 23 years: Karen Ogletree of Flint; Daughter: Felicia Ogletree of Flint; Stepson: Scott Marney II of Austin; Stepdaughter: Amy Marney of Irving; Brother: Terry Ogletree of Broken Arrow, Okla.; Father and Stepmother: Tony and Mary Ogletree of Canton; Mother-in-law and husband: Marleta and John Whitten of Kaufman; two aunts and a number of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers: Bryce Hayes, Kevin Williams, Robin Ballard, Russell Bishop, David Clapp and Brian Jennings.
Honorary Pallbearers: Men's Golf Association of Oak Hurst and Cascades Country Clubs.
