Services for Edna Moore Clements, 89, of Eden Place in Longview, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 18, 2007, at Sullivan-Heaster Funeral Home Chapel, Marshall. The Rev. David Ingram and the Rev. Bill Voss will officiate. Mrs. Clements was born Sept. 22, 1917, to Ed and Susie Moore in the small town of Karnack, located on the edge of Caddo Lake, where her father was a well-known guide. Although she had been employed by Texas Eastman and Tatum I.S.D., her life was dedicated to family and the caring of children. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thurman R. Clements; son, Richard Clements; parents, Ed and Susie Moore; and four brothers. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Roger and Jane Clements of Tyler; her daughter-in-law, Marie Clements of Longview; grandchildren, Wayne Clements and wife Beth of Bethany, Okla., Kirk Clements and wife Janell of Fort Smith, Ark., Chad Clements and wife Angie of Tyler, Marty Clements of Henderson; granddaughter, Tonya Nelms and husband Keith of Longview; great-grandchildren, Cody, Brandon and Caleb Clements, and Megan, Jordan and Faith Nelms. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, July 17, 2007, at Sullivan-Heaster Funeral Home on Travis Street in Marshall. Burial will be at Algoma Cemetery in Marshall, beside her husband.
