Married Mary Ellen Kirkpatrick on Dec 21, 1859. He was the son of Jesse Barganier & Nancy (Salters) Barganier. Hillary served in Co. D (formerly I) of the 60 Infantry Regiment of Hilliard's Legion formed in the spring of 1862 in Lowndes County. Hillary was wounded September 20, 1863, at the Battle of Chickamauga.∼BARGAINIER, HILIARY H. Present Post Office: Fort Deposit Was born on June 15, 1834 at Fort Deposit in the county of Lowndes in the state of Alabama; First entered the service as Private on May 1862 at Fort Deposit Ala in the Co D Hilliards Legion and continued until close of the war.
