Actor. He is best remembered for his role as the town drunk, 'Louie Pheeters' in the television western, "Gunsmoke" from 1961 to 1970. He appeared in the films "Cahill: U.S. Marshal" (1973), "Goodnight, My Love" (1972), "Menace On The Mountain" (1970), "Hail, Hero!" (1969), "Hillbillys In A Haunted House" (1967), "Hell Canyon Outlaws" (1957), "Mohawk" (1956), and "It Should Happen To You" (1954). Also appeared in many television shows including, "The Waltons" (1972 to 1981), "The Wild Wild West" (1965 to 1970), "Ben Casey" (1961 to 1966), "Perry Mason" (1957 to 1966), and "Night Gallery" (1970). (bio by: K)
