PEORIA -- Floyd F. "Fritz" Betts, 77, of 1047 N. Emily Place, Apt. 210, died at 7:35 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 17, 1994, at Lindenwood Healthcare Center.

Born Nov. 8, 1917, in Canton to Floyd B. and Lena O. Rapp Betts, he married Viola M. Bowen on Jan. 13, 1943, in Peoria. She survives.

Also surviving are one brother, George H., and two sisters, Thelma Schaub and Mrs. Cecil (Greeta) Swinehart, all of Peoria. One brother preceded him in death.

He worked for L.B. Deer & Co. in Lake of the Ozarks, Mo., for 20 years, retiring in 1979 as a foreman.

He was a World War II Army Air Force veteran. He was a member of Ionia Masonic Lodge 381, AF&AM, of Eldon, Mo. and Edwards United Methodist Church. Funeral services and Masonic services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Wilton Mortuary. The Rev. William A. Palmer will officiate. Visitation will be one hour before services at the mortuary. Burial will be in Cottonwood Cemetery in Edwards.

Memorials may be made his church or to Methodist Medical Center Hospice.
