CARLTON Graveside services for Willard Prockley Anderson Jr., 82, of Arcadia, Calif., will be held at 10:30 Friday, June 1 at 10:30 a.m. at the Carlton Cemetery.
Anderson died Monday, May 28, in Arcadia Hospital in Arcadia, Calif.
He was born Nov. 12, 1918, in Stephenville to Willard P. Anderson and Viola (Bidy) Mae Powell Anderson. He married Lillie Faye Douglas on May 7, 1938 in Glen Rose.
Anderson graduated from Stephenville High School. He retired from Bechtel Construction Corporation where he was employed for 40 years. He was a construction manager for the Houston Area office of the Los Angeles Power Division. He was a recognized specialist in planning, engineering and final pricing proposals for large construction projects. His employment carried him throughout the world as he planned and directed projects ranging from atomic power plants to oil pipeline and refineries.
He attended Hardin-Simmons University and Jackson College in Jackson, Miss. He was a member of First Baptist Church.
In addition to his wife, survivors include one sister, Helen McMahan of Oklahoma City; one son, Ron Anderson of Kerrville; one daughter, Melinda Susan Brogan of Arcadia, Calif.; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
