Barbara Carey was a member of the First United Methodist in Lewisville, and also a past member of the Lewisville Rotary Club. She was employed as Director of Development at the Christian Community Action (CCA) before her retirement, served on many boards with the City of Lewisville, and was a member of both the Lewisville and Flower Mound Chamber of Commerce. She also served on the CAIRO Prison Ministry Board. She is survived by her mother, 2 sons, and 3 grandchildren; and also a sister and 2 brothers.
