She was born Dec. 16, 1925, in the town of Ellery, a daughter of the late Hirley and Nellie Foster Near.
She had been employed by the former Fenton Park Nursing Home in the dietary department and earlier had worked for WCA Hospital and Davies Hotel.
She was a member of Mt. Zion Assembly, Prather Avenue, Jamestown.
Surviving are five children: Marcia Langworthy of Whitehall, Ohio, Madeline (Ted) Byczek of Jamestown, Robert (Laura) Bohall of Westfield, John (Ginny) Bohall of Dewittville and Randall Bohall of Jamestown; 16 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and several nieces including Marion and Helen to whom she was especially close.
She was preceded in death by her husband James Bohall: two sons: Dana Bohall and Melvin Merritt: a granddaughter Christina Bohall; two brothers: William McBane and Alton Near; and a sister, Alice Smith.
