TANEY COUNTY REPUBLICAN---July 25, 1907 Kirbyville Item Grandpa Bookout died July 4, at the home of his son, Mike. He had been confined to his bed since May and was a patient sufferer. He reached an extreme age, most of his life having been spent in Taney and other southern Missouri counties. He was one of our respected pioneer citizens. It is with regret that we note the rapid passing of these honored old residents. Lack of correct data prevents a more complete obituary notice.
