The only known Confederate soldier buried in Oakland Cemetery.
He came to Keokuk in 1879 and served as toll collector on the bridge before being struck by a train and dying on Nov 13 1906.

Possibly served with 8th Texas Cavalry(Rangers) or 7th Field Battery Texas Light Artillery(Moseley's). If anyone has more information please let me know.
