She is my Great Grandmother. Widowed at 28 when her husband passed away from Septicemia, she managed to raise five children, even though they suffered greatly during the Great Depression. She worked as a social worker for the city of Boston.Later in life she achieved a law degree, but unfortunately never had the opportunity to use it. She passed away from cancer at the age of 72. She is buried with her daughters Kathleen (Baronie) Shine (1924-1984) and Mary (Baronie) Shine (1920-2000) (both married into the same family) and with her grandson John Shine, Jr. (1956-1997).
