He married Hilka Blankmann on August 12, 1897 and to that union were born 10 children all of whom survive their father. The Klassmeyers thought it was a privilege to celebrate their golden anniversary, then again ten years later in August of 1957, they held open house for two days at their farm home to celebrate that anniversary. Although Mr. Klassmeyer's health was not good, he still enjoyed the pleasure of having relatives and friends with him at that time.
Mr. Klassmeyer was a farmer and most all of his life he lived near Burr. He was an accommodating neighbor and had a host of friends. It gave him pleasure to have members of his family near him, for he was a devoted husband and father.
