Mr. McEnroe was fatally injured by a F4 tornado which struck Omaha at approximately 6:00 p. m. on Easter Sunday, March 23, 1913.

The funeral of Patrick McEnroe, aged 95, who was fatally injured at his home at 2712 North Twentieth street, will be held from the home of his daughter, Mrs. John Conlon, 1507 Binney, at 9 o'clock Friday morning and from Sacred Heart church later. Father Judge will conduct the services. Burial will be at St. Mary's cemetery.
Mr. McEnroe had been a resident of Omaha for fifty-nine years. At the time the tornado struck his home there were nine there. He was the only person injured. He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Joseph Danahy and Mrs. John Conlon, both of Omaha.
He died at his daughter's home early Wednesday morning from severe internal injuries and fractures. His condition following the tornado was so bad he could not be taken to a hospital.

The sad pall of death hung over Omaha again yesterday as more victims of Easter Sunday's calamity were laid away in their last resting places. During the last three days the rows of shroud-covered dead in the various morgues have diminished, until now only a few of those killed remain to be buried. [part of article omitted]
Patrick McEnroe. Funeral services over Patrick McEnroe, aged 95, were held from the home of his daughter, Mrs. John Conlon, 1507 Binney, at 8:30 yesterday morning and at 9 o'clock at Sacred Heart church, Father Judge officiating. Burial was at St. Mary's cemetery.
The church was filled with hundreds of friends he made during his stay of fifty-nine years in Omaha. Dozens of cabs followed the hearse to the cemetery.
