Mr Beery was born April 18, 1883, in Norborne, Mo., to Michael F. and Jennie Lester Beery. Coming west at the age of 18, he settled in Anaconda, Mont., and later resided in Ogden before moving to California. His first wife, Jane Ann Hancock, to whom he was married in 1908 in Anaconda, died in 1918, and in 1919 he was married to Mrs. Marie Sackett.
Surviving are his widow and six sons and daughters: Miss Echo Beery who is a nurse at a local hospital; Chester Beery of Croyden; Jack Beery, La Grange, Ill.; Elmer, Russell, and Jacqueline Beery, all of San Diego, also two brothers.
