LEO A DAVIS, 92, TAKEN BY DEATH
Leo A Davis, 92, a resident of Mancelona nearly all his life, died Tuesday, August 8 at Meadow Brook Medical Care Facility where he had been a patient since May. Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 10, at 2:00 p.m. at the Paullin funeral home with Mr. Davis' son, Mr. Donald Davis of Grand Rapids, officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
Mr. Davis was born November 17, 1879 in Mendon, Mich., and came to Mancelona when he was two and a half years old. He was self employed in the carpentry and building trades.
In 1913* at Mancelona* he married Nellie Jones, who preceded him in death in 1924*.
He is survived by his son, Donald; a daughter Mrs. Richard (Mary) Homan of Clio; eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
