Wanda Lou Tate Gabbert, 73, of Waco, Texas, passed away on Friday, May 15, 2009. A graveside remembrance will take place 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 20, at Waco Memorial Park.

Wanda was born in San Angelo, Texas, to the late Rocial Vivion and Margaret (Burt) Tate. She graduated from San Angelo Central High School in 1954, and in 1955, she married Bobby W. Gabbert, serving for 24 years as a military wife. Wanda enjoyed attending church, gardening, sewing, and crafting. Her family and friends always anticipated her delicious culinary creations.

Wanda was preceded in death by a son, Dennis Gabbert.

She is survived by daughters, Debra Hostetter and husband, Robert, of Woodway, and Brenda K. Dyer, of Lancaster; son, Nicholas Gabbert, of Austin; and grandchildren, Kristopher, Patrick, and Zackry Hostetter, of Woodway, and Kayla and Morgan Dyer, of Waxahachie; other family members and friends.
