Hazel Marie Watters born at Oakdale, Pa., Miss Watters began her musical career at the age of 13 when she became the organist of Mount Washington's Methodist Church on Bigham St.

She attended Adrian College, Michigan, where she studied piano, organ, theory, harmony and history of music with Arthur B. Williams, a Leipsic Conservatory graduate. At Adrian College, Miss Watters earned her Bachelor of Music degree.

During her senior year there she represented the college on a concert tour of Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania and West Virginia. After graduation she returned to Pittsburgh and resumed organ study with Charles N. Boyd.

Shortly thereafter Miss Watters accepted a position at Western Maryland College to teach organ and piano. While there she also was the accompanists for visiting recitalists. After five years notable activity at Western Maryland College Miss Watters returned again to Pittsburgh to be organist of Knoxville's First Methodist Church and choir director of the Methodist Church (Old Brimstone Corner) at 7th Ave. and Smithfield St.

Following activity in these posts she became organist and choir director of Crafton's First Presbyterian which she now officiates.

Miss Watters has done considerable radio work, performing via Stations KDKA and WCAE. In connection with musical activity she has been with the Pennsylvania R.R. and now is with the Pittsburgh & Lake Erie R.R.

Mi ss Watters is a sister of Sam E. Watters, vice president secretary treasurer of the Pittsburgh Baseball Club, who is an avid music fan and collector of fine musical recordings.

Mi ss Watters is a member of the Eastern Star, Women's City Club and Mu Pi Zeta. Her hobbies include photography and collecting autographs, and she is fond of travel.

Miss Watters lives at the Fairfax Apartments, Fifth Avenue, Pittsburgh.
