Age 81, died August 27, 1997. Born December 11, 1915, in Midland County. Mr. Reust was co-owner of Culligan Water Conditioning of DeWitt for 50 years and served in the United States Army during World War II, obtaining the rank of Tech Sergeant. He was preceded in death by his wife, Josephine (September 1972); 2 sisters Agnes Reust and Cecilia Miller; and brother Harmon Reust. Surviving are 2 daughters, Anne(Paul) Rademacher of Portland and Cathy Reust of Lansing; 4 sons, Richard (Lynne) Reust and Thomas (Michelle) Reust of DeWitt, Douglas (Patricia) Reust of Australia, and Robert (Karen) Reust of St, Johns; 12 grandchildren, Richard, Chad, Thomas, Heather, Shirley, Jessica, Josephine, Jacob, Jordan and Amanda Reust, and Tracy and Aaron Rademacher; 3 great-grandchildren, Dalton, Dillon, and Devin Reust; special friend Arlene Hart. Mass of Christian burial on August 29, 1997 at the Catholic Community of St. Jude, DeWitt.
