John S. Meyash, 56, of Fountain Fla., died May 28, 1982 in Bay Memorial Hospital, Panama City, Fla., following an extended illness.
Born June 19, 1925 near Alexandria, he was the son of Frank and Mary (Brulia) Meyash. He was united in marriage to Mary Maretich of Williamsburg in 1948 in Pittsburgh. His wife of Fountain, Fla., and his mother of Huntingdon both survive. He is also survived by one daughter, Virginia Bouse, two sons, John Meyash Jr. and Gregory Meyash, and two granddaughters, Amy and Lisa, all of California; and a brother, Joseph Meyash of Huntingdon.
He was a member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Fountain, Fla. A commercial artist, he was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II serving in the South Pacific. He was a lifetime member of the Albert J. Hickman Post No. 460, American Legion, San Diego, Calif. He had resided in Fountain Fla., for the past five years, moving there from San Diego, Calif. He was a graduate of Alexandria High School, Class of 1943.
Funeral Services were held June 1 in our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Fountain Fla., with interment in the Garden of Memories, Panama City, Fla. Arrangements were under the direction of the Smith Funeral Home, Panama City.
