James Ward Ashlock, 44, of Columbia died Thursday, Sept. 20, 2001, at his home. Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 25, at Parker Funeral Service, 22 N. Tenth St., with the Rev. B.J. Chapman officiating. Interment will be in Millersburg Cemetery in Millersburg. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Sept. 24, at Parker Funeral Service. Mr. Ashlock was born Aug. 19, 1957, to Carl H. and Frances Victor Ashlock. He was a 1975 graduate of Hickman High School. A broadcast engineer, Mr. Ashlock had worked in the satellite business both privately and commercially for more than 20 years. Mr. Ashlock is survived by his wife, Sherry Ashlock of Columbia; a daughter, Corri Ashlock of Columbia; two sons, Jamie J. and Joe W. Ashlock, both of Columbia; and two brothers, Bill D. Ashlock of Columbia, and John M. Ashlock of Fulton. Memorials may be given to the Hepatitis Foundation, International 30 Sunrise, Terrace Cedar Grove, N.J., 07009.
