Berl Calvin Alberts (86) of Lee's Summit, MO, passed away on April 12, 2008. Services will be held at 1:00 PM at Mount Moriah Cemetery at the Chapel of Hope, Tuesday, April 15, 2008. Visitation 12:00-1:00 PM. Berl was born November 24, 1921, in Kansas City, MO and attended Westport high school. He married Jean D. (Wonder) Alberts 59 years ago and is survived by her and his step-son Patrick W. Emmett. He has three grandchildren and two great grandchildren who will lovingly remember him. Berl always loved cars and trucks. He was a truck driver for Jack Cooper Transport Co. and Time DC Trucking Co. He always enjoyed music of every kind and was a die-hard Royals fan. He enjoyed watching NASCAR and his favorite TV programs. He also enjoyed communicating with his family and friends on the Internet. He was a big man with a big heart and he will be missed. He is in a better place driving his truck for a better boss.
