Minuteman in the Revolution

Isaac Gibson was born November 28, 1745 in Lunenburg, MA, the son of Isaac and Keziah (Johnson) Gibson. In the Revolution Isaac was one of five Gibsons that were Minutmen from Fitchburg at the time of the Lexington fight in 1775, Isaac's brother John was killed at Bunker Hill. He married 1st, Lois Samson, of Bolton, MA, by whom he had four children. Lois died in Fitchburg, MA, June 17, 1782. Isaac married 2nd, Ruth Eaton the daughter of John and Mary (McIntire) Eaton of Jaffrey, NH, and moved to Rindge, NH, in 1783. Isaac and Ruth resided in the south-west part of Rindge and they had seven children. Isaac died December 6, 1811 of Spotted Fever. The outbreak of this disease in 1811 and 1812 was fatal to many in this locality.
