Alma Warner is thought to be the daughter of Herman and Phebe (Foster) Warner. However, a 1949 obituary for her youngest daughter, Antoinette I (Nichols) Putnam of Beverly, Essex, MA, printed in the GAZETTE & FARMERS' JOURNAL, BALDWINSVILLE, N. Y., states she was the daughter of Seth Warner, Herman's brother. Yet, a biography of Seth Warner written by his granddaughter Rachel A Nichols, printed in 16 OCT 1930 in the same GAZETTE & FARMERS' JOURNAL, states Seth Warner had five sons and two daughters, which would not account for Alma (Warner) Nichols since Seth's daughter, Sarah Warner is buried under the same monument as Seth and Seth's other daughter, Clarinda (Warner) Nichols was Rahel's mother.
