Daniel McCoy Cartin, Jr., 59, died Sunday at an Augusta hospital.
The funeral will be held Tuesday at Elliot Sons Lumpkin Road Chapel with the Rev Guy Campbell offciating. Burial will be in the Hillcrest Memorial Park.
A native of Barnwell, SC, he had lived most of his life in Augusta. He was a merchant.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs Ruth Elizabeth Boysworth Cartin, Augusta; two sons, Daniel McCoy Cartin III, Augusta, and David Lee Cartin, Jackson, SC; two daughters, Mrs Richard D. Reese, Augusta, and Mrs Jimmy L. Norris, Lyons, GA; his mother, Mrs Bertha Cartin Sims, Williston, SC; four brothers, Austin Cartin, and Odell Cartin, Williston, Cecil Cartin, Martinez, GA, and Jennis B Cartin, Atlanta; four sisters, Mrs Clero O'Rourke, Evans, GA, Mrs Leona Sawyer, Columbia, SC, Mrs Ennis E Thomas, Martinez, and Mrs EA Koon, Evans.
