John P Weyerhauser, son of John Philip Weyerhaeuser and Mary Feltman was born on May 27, 1878 in Mainz, Germany. He died on Jun 12, 1912 in Stamford, Connecticut. He married Margaret Agnes Cooke, daughter of Lawrence Cooke and Hannah Welsh on Jun 28, 1905 in Stamford, Connecticut. She was born in Mar 1879 in Connecticut. She died in 1934 in Stamford, Connecticut.

John emigrated from Mainz Germany in 1882, arriving in New York at the age of four. He traveled here with his mother's sister, Aunt Gretchen Feltman Weisheit, aka Mrs. Carl Weisheit.

John enlisted on Jun 21, 1898 with the Third Regiment, CT Volunteer Infantry National Guard. He mustered into US Military Service Military Service Jul 02, 1898, served as a Private in the Spanish American War, and discharged Jun 18, 1902. Veteran Pension Index No. 1,286,996 Vol. L 3rd Infantry. He then worked in Stamford as a machinist at the lock factory, Yale Locks.

John Philip Weyerhauser killed tragically at the age of 33, 1912, when struck by an electric trolley as he walked the tracks near the Norton Bridge. His wife, a 6-year-old daughter, and an infant son survived him.
