GLENMONT -- Victor Larry Gray Sr., 75, of Glenmont, died Wednesday afternoon, Nov. 26, 2008, at Wade Park V.A. Hospital in Cleveland.
Memorial services will be 4 p.m. on Sunday at Alexander Funeral Home, Millersburg, with the Rev. Ed Stivers officiating.
Friends may call from 1-4 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.
He was born Nov. 29, 1932, in Glenmont, and was the son of Perry and Sarah (Clark) Gray. On March 29, 1974, he married Joan Arnold, and she survives.
He was formerly employed at Hydro-Matic Pump Co. in Hayesville, but for most of his life he was a self-employed truck driver.
He was a member of Glenmont Church of Christ.
He was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the U.S. Army, and a member of the Killbuck VFW.
He was a stock car racer at both Lakeville and Holmes Hilltop speedways.
He enjoyed taking his daughter, Buffy, to her queen festival parades.
Surviving in addition to his wife are five children and their spouses, Lester ''Booner'' and Robin Gray of Glenmont, Cheryl Conrad of Lake Okeechobee, Fla., Ben Gray of Bellville, Victor Gray Jr. of Glenmont, and Buffy and Bryan Edwards of Lakeville; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Emerson Gray of Jeromesville and Bob Gray of North Carolina.
He was preceded in death by sisters, Betty, Dorothy, Iola, Vernice and Vera; a brother, Lester; and a grandson, Chad.
