KILLBUCK -- Frank James Marmet, 84, of Killbuck, died Sunday morning, Aug. 12, 2007, at the home of his daughter.
A military service will be Friday at 1 p.m. at the Penny Weaver residence, 12471 Township Road 503, Big Prairie.
There will be no calling hours or funeral services.
Alexander Funeral Home, Millersburg, is handling the arrangements.
He was born May 30, 1923, in Glenmont, and was the son of Charles C. and Frances E. (Rose) Marmet.
He was a truck driver for 47 years, retiring from Mohawk Rubber Co.
He was affiliated with St. John's United Church of Christ of Glenmont and a life member of the Killbuck Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army.
Surviving are two children, Penny (Joe) Weaver of Big Prairie and Rex Marmet of Glenmont; eight grandchildren, Jeanne (Phil) Flinner, Scott Moore, Michael Moore, Joey Weaver, Duke (Jennifer) Marmet, Karen (Darrell) Hood, Charlie (Shelley) Marmet and Mindy Marmet; eight great-grandchildren; a sister, Margaret Morris of Killbuck; a brother, John Marmet of Glenmont, and special niece and nephew, Harriett and Leo Burger.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Mildred Martin and a brother, Lester Marmet.
