CHARLES G. HEATH
Charles Heath was the oldest of the six sons of Enos Heath and his wife Rebecca Pearl Heath. The family moved from Massachusetts to Chicago, Illinois about 1860. They all survived the devastating Chicago fire in 1871.
On 10 June 1861, Charles enlisted in Co. I, 19th Illinois Infantry Regiment and fought for the Union in the Civil War. After the war, he worked for a boot and shoe manufacturing company in Chicago. He married 8 May 1874 to Arabella Annis. They had one daughter, Susan Pearl Heath.
His wife, Arabella, preceded him in death in 1920. He was survived by his daughter Susan Pearl Heath Schriner, son-in-law George Schriner, a granddaughter, Mary A. Schriner, grandsons, Russell Schriner, Charles Schriner, Lambert Schriner, Francis Schriner.
Charles was buried at Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Cook Co., IL.
