DEATH CAUSE BEING SOUGHT
A post-mortem autopsy was scheduled to be performed today to determine what caused the death last night a nine-year-old Kittanning R.D. 5 youth. John Wayne Lasher died last night in Childrens Hospital, Pittsburgh, where he had been taken after having been admitted early yesterday morning at the Armstrong County hospital. The young boy was stricken with severe head pains yesterday morning while on his way to the Troy Hill School. He was taken to the local hospital, then transferred to the Pittsburgh institution where he died at 10:30 o'clock.

John Wayne Lasher, nine-year-old son of Mrs. Velma Lasher, R.D. 5 Kittanning and Delbert Lasher, Adrian, died last night, April 19, 1952, at 10:30 o'clock in Children's Hospital, Pittsburgh. The child became ill yesterday morning while on his way to the Troy Hill School. Taken to the Armstrong County hospital, he was later transferred to the Pittsburgh hospital. In addition to his parents, other survivors are three brothers, Raymond, Carl and Walter; one half-sister Shirley and one half-brother James and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Lasher of Adrian R.D. 1.The Smith funeral home in in charge of arrangements which are not yet complete.

Funeral services for John Wayne Lasher, nine-year-old son of Mrs. Velma Lasher, R.D. 5 Kittanning and Delbert Lasher of Adrian, will be held at Limestone Church of God at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday. Rev. Norman Hartman, of the Pentecostal Church, Pattonville will conduct the service. Friends may call at the home of the boy's mother, Mrs. Velma Lasher of R.D. 5 Kittanning, until 1:30 p.m. Tuesday. Burial will be made in the family plot in the cemetery adjoining the church.

Boy, 9, Collapses, Dies from Tumor
A nine year old Kittanning boy died last weekend in Children's Hospital, Pittsburgh, from a brain tumer which caused him to collapse while going to school Friday morning. The lad, John Lasher of Highway 5 was found tumbled in a ditch and rushed to Kittanning Hospital by neighbors. Failing to respond to treatment, he was taken to Children's Hospital, state police report, where he died.

Funeral services for John Wayne Lasher, nine-year-old son of Mrs. Velma Lasher, R.D. 5 Kittanning and Delbert Lasher of Adrian, were held at the Limestone Church of God Tuesday afternoon, April 22, 1952. Rev. Norman Hartman, pastor of Pentecostal Church, Pattonville conducted the service. He was assisted by Rev. Harold W. Woods, pastor of Limestone, Reesedale and Templeton churches of God. Two hymns, "Jewels" and "Safe in the Arms of Jesus," were sung by Mrs. H. J. Bowsersox, Mrs. Harold Woods accompanied at the piano. Bearers were Alfred Sinclair, William Laird, George Cravenor, David Matthews and Eugene Johns. Burial was made in the family plot in the cemetery adjoining the church.
